Milk Alternatives Oat-, Almond- and Rice-milk

Making your own milk alternatives is super easy and takes a little bit of time. No more. Most of the ingredients you already have in your cupboards. The almond milk has the least calories. Adjust the recipes to your quantiy of milk.

Ingredients For Oatmilk

  • 50 grams oats per 200 Ml water
  • 0.5 Tspn salt per 400ml water and a little sugar or sweetner to taste
  • 1 tpsn vanilla extract
  • Optional: 2 drops of orange oil per 400 Ml
  • Optional: 15 grams of cocoa powder per 400 Ml to make chocolate milk
  • Teatowel to filter

Ingredients For Almondmilk - Gluten free

  • 50 gram Almonds per 30 Ml water
  • 1 tspn salt per 900ml water and a little sugar or sweetner to taste
  • 1 tpsn vanilla extract
  • Optional: 3 drops of orange oil per 900 Ml
  • Optional: 10 grams of cocoa powder per 300 Ml to make chocolate milk
  • Teatowel to filter

Ingredients For Ricemilk - Gluten free

  • 50 grams rice per 300 Ml water
  • 0.25 Tspn salt per 300 Ml water and a little sugar or sweetner to taste
  • 1 tpsn vanilla extract
  • Optional: 2 drops of orange oil per 400 Ml
  • Optional: 15 grams of cocoa powder per 400 Ml to make chocolate milk
  • Teatowel to filter
  • Optional: For the winter months add anis, cinnamon, cardamon and cloves to give it a good chai feeling
  • Optional: Add 250 Ml of water to all recipes to make the milk less dense. Blend of 5 seconds to ensure it is blended well othersiee the water will seperate.

    1For oat milk. Add oats, salt , vanilla and other items together in a blender and blend for 45 seconds at high speed

    1For almond milk. Add almond flour or almonds, salt , vanilla and other items together in a blender and blend for 2 minutes at high speed

    1For rice milk. Soak rice in 80 degree hot water for 2 hours.You should be able to easily break the rice with your fingernail if not leave longer and add hot water. Now add salt , vanilla and other items together in a blender and blend for 60 - 90 seconds at high speed

    2Now strain/filter the mixture two times with the teacloth and keep the almond/oats/rice sediment for porridge or baking.

    3Add the cocoa if you want chocolate milk and blend again for 5 seconds. Put in the fridge and wait till chilled. Keeps for around 4 days
