Beer Cheese Fondue

This is a nice twist on the classic cheese fondue. This time with beer. Pair with your favorite beers! This is a mild version and you can replace the cheeses with stronger variations if you like.

Ingredients

      • Juice of 1 orange
      • 50 gram butter
      • 3 tspn sugar or honey
      • 500 gram Chester cheese
      • 400 gram butter cheese
      • Get 3 Bretzels per person
      • 2 Tbspn of fresh finely cut perslay
      • 2 Tbspn Mustard
      • Fresh ground pepper to taste
      • Optional 2 - 3 eggs yolks and a little beer

Preparation

1Add bier, sugar and orange and heat to a temperature to melt the cheese. Which needs to be at atleast 65 degrees celcius and I recommend 85 degrees celcius. DO NOT BOIL THE FONDUE!

2Add the cheese and salt plus pepper. Careful with salt as the Bretzels have salt as well. And ejoy. However if after a while the cheese stays "liquid" add 2 - 3 egg yolks to a glass with a little warm beer and mix. Once mixed add to the fondue mix and keep stiring gently.
