Everyone is talking about the American Election and the result. However...
Did you know that..
Donald Trumps son owns a winery in Virginia… Of course wines are produced there and the winery prides themselves on making very good sparkling wines from Chardonnay, Viognier and Cabernet Sauvignon..
The grapes are all hand harvested and vinification varies from steel tank to oak.
This could be something… They have a beverage called Cru and this is beverage is fortified with brandy, this sweet white port-style wine is made from blending Chardonnay juices and brandy. The this is aged in American bourbon barrels. This sounds interesting and could be a winner...
On the red front, there is the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Meritage this is a blend of 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, 14% Petit Verdot, and 11% Malbec. The flagship wine of the Trump winery is the New World Reserve 2014 is a full-bodied Bordeaux-type blend (65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdot, 5% Malbec). It would be interesting to taste all these wines.
