Chimichurri Sauce

This is one of those sauces I truly adore. Enjoy this straight forward Argentinian classic sauce.

TIP: Add a delicious steak to this. Purchase the steak in advance and leave outside the packaging in your fridge for 1 - 2 days this will make it more tender

Ingredients

  • 20 gram parsley chopped not too fine
  • 0.5 tspn dried chili flakes
  • 1 charlotte finely chopped
  • 1 tspn of oregano ideally fresh
  • 2 cloves of crushed garlic
  • 2 -3 Tbspn olive oil
  • 2 tspn of red wine vinegar
  • Juice of 0.5 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste 
  • Preparation

    1Blitz the parsley, oregano, garlic, shallot and chilli flakes in a blender or chop very finely by hand. Add the olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar and some salt and pepper to taste, and combine everything to a saucy consistency.

Service with Belgium frites and a delicous steak. However other meats can be just as delicous.
