Spätzle / Spaetzle / German noodles with cheese?

Ingredients

  • 400 Gram Spaetzle mehl
  • 4 eggs
  • 220 - 280 ml luke warm water
  • Grind muskat nut to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: Add blackpepper and finely diced parsley. This tastes so good remember to cust the parley fine and the pepper not to fine and not too much. Or add some grated ginger /ginger powder and chili to the recipe. Lots of variations. Be creative!

    1Mix all the ingredients together with with the water and eggs

    2Mix with the muskat, salt, pepper and parsley. Make sure the dough drips of the spoon without breaking. Not too thick.

    3Get a spaetzle cutter or a board and do it manually and scrape them in the almost boiling water

    4They are ready after around 4 minutes. Remove the water and serve.

    5Optional: To make cheese spaetzle. Fry and onion. Add a nice alpine grated cheese with it. Mix the cheese and the spaetzle together in the pan until the cheese is melted.. Add the fried onions on top. Go crazy and add some cubeb speck. Delicious and sooooo healthy :D
