Panna Cotta in 2 versions

Panna Cotta is one of those delicious dessert where detail is key to ensure the right consistency and mouthfeel. Go not too sweet and make the vanilla dance.

Ingredients

  • 500 Ml cream or 500 Ml of 1.5% milk
  • 1 or 2 vanilla beans split and seeded
  • 2 sheets of gelatine or 8-9 grams of powder (stired in a little luke warm water the sheets make flexible in luke warm water and gently squeeze the gelatine sheets once soaked
  • 25 grams of sugar

 

    1Put the vanilla beans sides in the cream and gently bring to a simmer aroud 80 degrees. Let it gently cool a little to around 60 degrees remove the vanilla bean sides.

    2stirr in the gelatine and mix well finally add the vanilla bean seeds and stir well.

    3fill the contents in the serving dishes and cover with plastic. Put in the fridge at 5 degrees for at least 5 hours

Optional: serve with fresh fruit and or a coffee sauce. Or add 3 spn of instant coffee.
