A little gem in Rome. One of the best wine bars. The place does not look like a lot besides nice tables and chairs. On the wine side they have a very nice selection plus they have Zalto glasses. Here you can endulge in wonderful wines. They serve nice food. When in Rome do as Traubenliebe does.

The beginning was not great. They did not have the wine I wanted...A Heida. The service lady told me that the ran out yesterday and the wine maker could not provide any additional bottles. Simple: UPDATE your winelist. Nothing is more annoying then when a customer spends time selecting the beverage of their choice and they are told: "We do not have it!" Theguest wireless does not work either. Not a good start.

Karl&Co looks apart. It is designed well a lot of "brown" tones in the interior. The place is trimmed on quality. Everything is designed from A-Z. The place looks very nice and has a certain "business casual" feel to it. Because the design is very rectangular the place is a little narrow. Allowing only for seating on both sides. The lighting concept is nice but a little too dark for my liking. The menu has a good selecting of different tea, coffee, soft drinks and only ten types of wine. Wine glasses used are decent. They pride themselves on the food. The cooking is good as well are the prices. This place is moderately priced and Fleischkäse the cheapest dish is priced at CHF 12.50. For my feeling the location lacks a certain home feeling. But nontheless everything is of good quality. For food I ordered the fleischkäse. See the picture in the gallery below. The fleischkase is good not too salty. Nice bite structure. The mustard was well grinded, nice acidity and flavor. The bread was nice and krispy fresh and had a wonderful chew and was unfortunately luke warm. And why such a small piece of fleischkäse and enough bread to feed a village...A little butter would have been great. This dish needs some tuning but the quality was very good. Enjoy this spot in Bern. This needs a polish but hey we all live and learn. I think Karl will grow up and have a bright future ahead of its self. I will be back to see it this is the case. At the moment verify this for yourself. However I think Karl will be fine.

This is one of my personal favorites. Attisholz is simply genious. Majestic food cooked by Jörg Slaschek and team. He cooks for both restaurants in the beautiful setting of the forests outisde Riedholz. Enjoy the Gaststube for a more rustic approach to the creations served whilst using the best possible ingredients. Le Feu takes the dining experience a step further and adds additional rafinesse to the mix. Endulge in both as they serve excellent food paired with an impressive wine list. The sommelier know his wines and is always good for a surprise. Excellent cooking, great wines. They use Coravin as well. When in Switzerland VISIT!
