Excellence by the glass. Le Millesime defines the legacy of excellence. A splendid selection of wines by the bottle and glass. They use the Coravin to offer exquisite bottles by the glass. The kitchen is in the process of redefining the tapas world. In the gallery you see some examples. Fred Heraut and Phillipe Francy founded Le Millesime and have crafted an excellent oenological paradise. Sit down relax enjoy a splended selection of wines and carefully crafted food. The wine bar is mostly visited by locals and wine makers from the Bordeaux area. Great thing is that the kitchen is open until 24:00! When ever I am in Bordeaux Le Millesime is always on the list.

Stumbled Across this wonderful butcher. Great selection of meats and yes some cheeses. Focus on local produce. Excellent service and if you happen to be in the Lindau area take the drive to Wangen im Allgäu. This is a very nice village and if you have a holiday home get your meats from this butcher.

This little secret was found during my morning run. From the outside it looks really inviting and cosy. Inside it feels pleasantly homey and friendly. Nice music plays in the background and this is the type of place you can spend an entire day and not get tired of it. The service was good and friendly. The cakes and pies are very good. The lack a certain raffinesse but have this "home-made" feel to it. Flavor and textures are good. They are not over sweetened. A little tip add signs to the baked goods otherwise the customer has to ask every single time :). I tried a soup as well (ginger, paprika, curry) and this was wonderful from a texture perspective but onfortunately "extremely salty" which ruined the whole soup experience. On the other hand the espresso was fine and the staff are really friendly. Another bonus they do not have a microwave they individually warm up each place of soup. The prices are very modest and the this worth a vist when in Lindau. Tip: Stick to the cakes and coffee for the time being.

One of the wonders of the new world. A name to know and a place to visit. Located at the shores of lake Geneva. This is such a beautiful hotel. 5 stars do not do it justice. The service is exceptional and better than in many 5 star hotels. The rooms are a delight. The hotel has different restaurants and for this review I could only test the "hotel bar", Miyako the japanese restaurant and the brasserie bar. Miyako was exceptional. Well made sushi, sashimi and other japanese creations. With an eye for detail and great technical skills this is a wonderful dining experience. The service was very. The bar has some of the best waiters. The wines by the glass are fine. When you look at the big wine list... You can book a room and stay here for a long time to endulge in all the wonderful bottles on offer. In the bar and brasserie I was not terribly impressed with the glasses used. Little details failed on the beef tartare ordered. For example jars of mayonaise at the wrong temperature... The toast was delicious but the butter was stone cold... The service experience on the other hand was magic! I will be back as this is a wonderful shiney diamond that has a few rough edges but still shines. The wine cellar has over 3000 different wines! The restaurant with chef Anne-Sophie Pic needs to be investigated and I am looking forward to it.
