This is a little gem next to the Bärengraben. The bear park in Bern. Plenty of gastronomic options here. I like klösterli for the location, nice terrace and wondeful service. The winelist is medium sized. The price/quality ration is very good. And the food is nice. Focus on the wine and find some nice bites to go with your wine. They have decent selection of wines by the glass. I recommend you to go for the bottles as they offer some good options. They change the list and menu on a regular basis. I really like this place! A little wine home away from home!

A very nice wine bar with a decent selection of wine the price quality ratio is good for Bern. Staff are friendly and I can recommend visiting this little wine bar next to the Aare and when hungry you can visit the Casa Nova restaurant. They have nice finger food and tapas. The wine list is worth a look but do not expect any big guns. But hey I enjoyed my wine experience there!

Casa Novo once blew my mind with an incredible fois gras starter. Now they have a vinoteca as well... Let's start at the beginning with the location. The restaurant and vinoteca are situated in the Matte neighbourhood of Bern. This neighbourhood directly on the Aare River. 

As you can see from the above photo which was taken on the terrace. Great location and next to another wine and enjoyable food address Klösterli weincafé. The food of Casa Novo is enjoyable and the wine list has plenty of options. The price quality ratio is not great but therefore you are at a wonderful location with good service and a decent wine selection. 

This one of those bars... in the front is has a beauiful! Nice lights, Great bar with comfortable seats. Big chandelier as a central piece of the front bar. The back section has comfortable seats and looks very inviting indeed. The drink options are pretty standard. The food is normal but the wine list is nice and has a strong focus on Tuscany. There is an almost daily changing menu. Price level is typical for this type of restaurant in Bern. The reason I call it bar as it is better to go here for drinks than to go here for diner. Or enjoy a bottle of wine from their enjoyable wine list. However for drinks this is a very nice location. In the centre of the old town. A decent simple wine list that invites. Some simple finger foods from the Tuscany focused menu. A nice place to start the evening or to meet up as this is a public transportation hub for trams and busses. I like the front bar the most as it is very well made. Just wish the wine selection was better.
