First bottle was corked. Second bottle was in top condition. I like Chateau Gloria. This is a Chateau has captured my heard with wines that have personality. 2002 is well developed and ready to drink. Notes of forest floor, dark and re fruit. Cherry, notes of tabacco. Ready to drink.

With a nose packed with earth, black plums, tobacco and cassis, this powerful, tannic, deep wine could easily pass for a Classified Growth.If you're going to open it now, give it a good swirl. leave it in the decanter for an hour or more. 

Once Chateau Chasse Spleen was once part of a much larger Haut Medoc winery that sold their wine under the name of Chateau Grand-Poujeaux. In 1822, the Bordeaux wine estate was devided: 50% Chateau Gressier-Grand-Poujeaux and the rest was devided in 3 parts and that are known now as: Chateau Maucaillou, Chateau Poujeaux-Theil and Chateau Chasse Spleen.

This is one of the smallest wineries in Médoc. And have  a small plot in Pauillac AOC. The family of Sophie Martin manage the winery. The grapes are 90% merlot and 10% cabernet sauvignon. They use 33% new french oak for aproximately 12 months depending on the vintage in question.
