BACK

Who does not like brownies? With nuts or without! This takes the classic brownie to a new level. Simply delicious

Ingredients

  • 200 grams of unsalted butter
  • 100 grams of white chocolate in pieces
  • 100 grams of dark chocolate in pieces
  • 200 grams of cane sugar
  • 100 grams of sieved flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 Tspn salt
  • Optional roasted nuts or dried fruits. Forget the nuts as my son has braces as the moment :)

1Melt the butter and chocolate. (50% of each in a bowl. Keep the chocolate types seperate!) Melt it in a oven set to 70 degrees in around 10 minutes. Put the two bowls aside

2Combine the flour and salt. Sieve once or twice and set a side. You need to portions of 50 grams add a tiny pinch of additonal salt tot he flour for the white chocolate as this tends to be sweeter and the salt lifts it more with structure.

3Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius. Mix the eggs and the sugar untill smooth at moderate speed. Split in two equal portions

4Now prepare the two last stage. Line the baking tray with baking paper (Easier to remove later.) Mix the white chocolate butter mixture with the egg and sugar mixture. Spoon gently together and add the flour and salt. Spoon again. Do the same with the dark chocolate mixture, sugar, egg and flour salt mixture.

5Ideally pour both mixtures in to the shape one on the left and one on the right and make a few gentle streaks in the middle. Bake for approx. 22 minutes. Check after 18 minutes. A cake pin needs to come out clean just after you inserted it and batter was attachted to it.
